Floral Fiesta
A fiesta themed wedding or event will create a vibrant and cheery feel. No one's gong home without that fuzzy happy feeling after a fun upbeat occasion. Colour has an ability to alter our mood, so why not contemplate a wedding or event with Brazilian, Mexican or Spanish fiesta influences. These countries know how to throw a party and no one's leaving without giddy euphoria on this occasion.
Festivals are vibrant and the atmosphere electric. Create your own flamboyant festival vibe with energetic coloured flowers and accessories. A fiesta styled event brings together eye-catching combinations or bold, rich and bright coloured foliage. Hues of pink, red, orange and yellow with vivid green foliage are the show stopping colour ingredients, however these could be offset with a pastel pink or a deep purple shade. Bouquets and tables can be adorned with bold shapes too. A bouquet of different varieties of Dahlias with their multiple petals can fight for attention against ranuculus, lilies and sunflowers. Placing some more delicate beauties from pink roses to peonies and gentle purple agapanthus will soften the look a little, while still complementing the punchy colours and strong shapes.
As far as styling goes, the fiesta style works wonders in a plain venue setting, but can look equally as justifiable in a rustic barn setting. Tropical palms are the ultimate companion to the bright table settings and bouquets. Any plant that conjours up feelings of jungles or hot countries will work with this scheme. Kentia palms, tree ferns, hardy palms, butterfly palms, cycas, cacti and succulents placed here and there, or grouped together, will create impact to a scheme and have you dreaming of your post wedding honeymoon.
If you love a little d.i.y or craft project then getting creative could add a lovely handmade element while keeping costs down. This style can take colourful ribbon streams from the ceiling, hand made paper flowers, balloons, paper lanterns and brighty coloured flags. Dining seats with brightly coloured ribbons draped from them and coloured glass jars with tea lights in, set on the table are inexpensive pieces to add. Why not add succulents or cacti (the not too spike ones) to a florish of blooms on dining tables?! These little green plant pets could then be taken by the guests as wedding favors.
So if you love a riot of colour, captivating blooms and that fiesta feel then consider this style for a wedding or why not push a birthday party or festival up to the next level with wild shades and bold shapes. Bold decor bursting with colour and life is the aim to ramp up the good vibes. Have a blast and a raucous time, and get those fiesta feelings going this year.
